Celebrating the Work of San Antonio Latino/a Architects and Designers

EXHIBITION CALL FOR STUDENT ENTRIES

LiA seeks to serve and support our local communities by establishing a forum for celebrating Latinos/as in design related professions. In recognizing Hispanic Heritage month, LiA is promoting an exhibition showcasing the work of local Latino/a Architects, designers and students.

We are asking students of design professions to submit images of their work for a slideshow that will be running throughout the opening and closing ceremonies of the exhibition. This event is a social networking opportunity for individuals, a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and an opportunity to continue the committee’s design
community outreach.

The exhibition will take place September 07 – October 12 at the AIA Center for Architecture.
Opening Ceremony will be on 09/07 from 6:00PM-8:00PM.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
IMAGES
Please submit high quality work and limit 5 images per entrant.
Work can consist of:
Architecture: works in progress, competition efforts (e.g. photos of models, renderings)
Media considered an extension of architecture: art, graphic design, design sketches, etc.
Each image should be a JPEG, 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels tall, 300dpi, 5MB max per file. (Any image that does not fit this format will be resized and placed on a white background to fit screen dimensions; we will not distort or crop any images)
Each image file should be labeled with full name of student, project/image title, school name.
(e.g. LAST NAME_FIRST NAME_THE RESIDENCE_UNIVERSITY.1) If more than one image is submitted for a
project please number the image at the end of the file name in the order entrant prefers.

TEXT
In the body of the email please list: Full Name, School Name, Program Name, Year of Proposed Graduation.

Entries due Sunday, August 29th by 6:00 PM.

The AIA San Antonio Latinos in Architecture Committee supports local communities by participating in volunteer opportunities, investing in community issues, strengthening relationships between professionals in the field of architecture and design and promoting professional and student work. We aim to positively influence students aspiring to become architects and designers by providing guidance and expertise.
