Get to know TxA President-Elect Eva Read-Warden, AIA
Following up on TxA’s hugely successful 82nd Annual Conference & Design Expo in San Antonio, 2022 TxA President-Elect Eva Read-Warden, AIA presents her vision for ‘Where We Go from Here’. Join us to learn about the next chapter in the legacy of Texas Architects.
Eva Read-Warden, AIA, arrived in Texas in 1994, after her education and early career in Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico. She joined the The Arkitex Studio Inc in 1997 and became a partner in 2008. As a principal architect Eva has managed commercial, institutional, and residential projects. She has a particular passion for projects that serve the community. She also wears the hat of managing partner, overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the firm.
Eva served as President of the Brazos Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 2000 and 2011 and was Chapter Director in 2018. From 2012 – 2015 Eva participated in TxA as Chair of the Historic Resources Committee. Currently Eva is Secretary of the Board of the Texas Society of Architects and is Chair of the City of Bryan Historic Landmark Commission.
