AIA San Antonio’s Women in Architecture and San Antonio Young Architects have teamed up to offer an Exclusive Insider’s Tour of two seminal spaces at the Pearl Brewery—Southerleigh and the Bottling Department Food Hall. The tours will be led by architects Emily Little, FAIA and Sam Manning, AIA from the award-winning architecture firm Clayton and Little. Accompanying the project’s architects will be Pearl architectural historian Jeff Fetzer, FAIA and Culinary Institute of America (CIA) educator and architect Dr. Ela Poursani. Finishing out the tour will be managing leader of each establishment to share their insights and experiences working with the architects on the design and utilization of their establishment, now that their doors are open for business. These designers, owners, and chefs conversations will address the design challenges associated with historical adaptive reuse, and execution of design concepts from several perspectives. Final stop for the tour will be Pearl’s Premier Hot Spot for Live Music, Jazz TX to enjoy a complimentary cocktail with the committees!
