The San Antonio Chapter of The American Institute of Architects in partnership with their Women in Architecture Network is honored to present Carolyn Armenta Davis, Hon. AIA, an international architectural historian, lecturer and writer whose landmark research lifts the profile of contemporary Black architects and serves as a catalyst for inclusion.

Her lecture, 1963 Dream > 2017 Reality, Creativity + Black Diaspora Architects, salutes Dr. King’s dream and the ‘Art of Architecture’ across the trans-Atlantic African Diaspora. The presentation will spotlight the diverse cultures, economics, politics and other life realities that inspire and inform Black Diaspora architects.
