UTSA Graduate Exhibit
This exhibit includes student works from three studios: Prof Taeg Nishimoto, Prof Ric Lewis, and mine. These three studios are the Masters Project Studios, the last and final architectural design studios the graduate students take before receiving their Masters of Architecture degree from the College of Architecture at UTSA. No other architecture school in San Antonio offers this higher level degree.
This year I had some really good students: Ben Rosas, Vincent Ramirez, Derek Klepac, Luisa Morgner, Delia Meave, Megan Vipond, Jeff Jones, Josh Calzada, Marjan Motevasel, and Sebastian Garcia. All brilliant. I am very proud of all of them. Ben won the Dean’s award, and Vincent won the Historic Preservation award at graduation. All of the architectural projects are presented with CAD and 3D illustrations. Though the work exhibited represents only a small portion of their semester’s production (they had to make a final powerpoint presentation to the faculty). The students from all three studios will be there to talk more about their work.
The San Antonio Chapter of the American Institute of Architects kindly sponsors this exhibit space and graciously makes it possible.
