Beyond LEED®: Paint and Sustainable Building 1 AIA HSW/SD
Based on the criteria used in LEED-NC 2.2, learn to determine whether a paint product meets the requirements to be considered a “green” product. Using published technical data, you will be able to incorporate test results to aid in protecting the life cycle and dollar-cost analysis of a paint product. Through the understanding of test results, you will be able to effectively communicate how a paint product relates to on-going sustainability goals. Witness the effect VOCs can have on the environment. You will come away with a better understanding of how your paint selection will affect your project – whether you are pursuing LEED certification or you’re just a fan of clean air. You will also see how the right paint product can save money while keeping material out of landfills.
